Two people were injured and the alleged shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene, Port Orange police said. Here's what to know.

Two Walgreens employees were shot by a gunman who was later found dead in Florida on Wednesday. The Port Orange Police Department said it responded to a report of an "active shooter" at 1625 Taylor Road, Port Orange, around 5:30 p.m. local time, before they found the dead suspect and two wounded workers.

Officers and Melbourne Fire Rescue provided medical attention to the victim; however, despite their efforts, the subject did not survive. Police say a person of interest was identified, and there is believed to be no further outstanding threat to the general public. Detectives and CSI are currently investigating this homicide.
