In September, we’ll know whether or not The Office spin-off actually works. The Paper won’t premiere on broadcast TV like its predecessor—an unfortunate sign of the times, but Peacock probably still needs the subscriber boost to justify its existence.
The cast of “The Office” will reunite to try to win money for charity. “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” airs at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, on ABC. Rainn Wilson will play for Lidè Haiti, Ellie Kemper for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Oscar Nuñez for Oceana. Pat Sajak hosts alongside Vanna White.
The show, in which the documentary crew from The Office lands on a new subject, is called The Paper. It follows the publisher (Domhnall Gleeson) and staff of a historic but struggling newspaper in Toledo, Ohio.
